Connect Four (vs AI) — drop a disc, line up four, outsmart the machine
A classic board game where the first player to link four same-colored discs in a row, column, or diagonal wins. It is perfect for a quick solo match against the AI, or a head-to-head game with a friend on the same screen.
How to use
- Choose Vs AI or 2 Players from the buttons at the top.
- Tap a column and your disc drops to the lowest empty slot in it. Black moves first.
- In Vs AI mode, once you play, the white AI thinks briefly and answers.
- Connect four in any direction to win; a completely filled board is a draw.
- Press New Game anytime to reset the board.
Features & tips
- The AI runs minimax with alpha-beta pruning, looking up to eight moves ahead.
- Hover over the board and a faded preview disc shows exactly where your piece will land.
- The center column touches the most winning lines, so grabbing column four early pays off.
- Always block an opponent's open three before completing your own attack.
FAQ
Q. The AI feels tough. Can I change the difficulty? A. There is no difficulty slider; it always searches eight moves deep. Once you master center control and blocking, you can absolutely beat it.
Q. Who plays first? A. Black (you) always goes first and white second. In 2-player mode Black also starts.
Q. Do I need to install anything or sign in? A. No. It runs straight in your browser with no install and no account required.
